Sobre Rita
Hello, I’m Rita!
I’m a creative, enthusiastic, and empathetic person with a big love for arts, cultures, and languages. I’ve always been deeply curious about the world and the beautiful differences between us.
My academic background is in languages and humanities, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences. These days, I divide my time between teaching Portuguese to foreigners and writing stories, poems… and homework! (ahah)
In my classes, learning is practical, interactive, and tailored to each student’s rhythm and interests. I aim to create a space where real-life conversations, creativity, and personal expression can flourish.
Mistakes? They're welcome. Laughter? Essential!

Teaching Methods & Approach:
I use a communicative and dynamic approach, blending grammar, vocabulary, and speaking practice from day one. Through interactive exercises, authentic materials and real-life simulations, you’ll learn to use Portuguese naturally and confidently.
How Do Lessons Work?
Each lesson is structured around your goals, whether it’s improving conversation, preparing for exams, refining writing skills, or learning from scratch. We start with a short linguistic warm-up, followed by a theoretical explanation and practical exercises. The focus is on interaction, so you feel comfortable communicating right away.

Rita is my Portuguese teacher, and she is incredibly kind, flexible, and patient, always adapting lessons to fit my individual needs. She creates a supportive and encouraging environment that makes learning both effective and enjoyable. I highly recommend her!
Rita teaches us Portuguese in weekly online lessons. We look forward to these every time. She is lively, vivacious, personable and knowledgeable, and her demeanor is such that she makes us very pleased to learn. Also, her English is excellent, which means we can communicate really effectively. She is a great teacher!
Nigel and Julie BarrassMetódica, persistente e motivadora! A Rita é tudo isto na forma como ensina e nos transmite que também conseguiremos chegar ao nivel dela e mais alem.
